There has been a rise in domestic violence during the COVID-19 crisis. A survey conducted by the Australian Institute of Criminology has revealed that almost one in 10 Australian women, in a relationship, have experienced domestic violence during the COVID-19 crisis. For 33% of the women, it was the first time that they had been the victim of sexual or domestic violence in their relationship.
