Commercial Tenancy: 26 October 2022
On 6 October 2022, the Minister for Environment and Climate Action (the Minister) approved Amendment GC197 to the Bayside, Kingston, Monash and Whitehorse Planning Schemes. This amendment applies a Specific Control Overlay on the land required for the Suburban Rail Loop East Project.
In addition, the Minister has now released a map that designates the area of land required for the Project (declared project area).
Now that the declared project area has been gazetted, the Authority is able to formally commence the compulsory acquisition process.
If you would like a greater understanding of the compulsory acquisition process in relation to the Suburban Rail Loop East Project or would like to discuss whether your land has been designated un in the declared project area, please feel free to contact us to arrange a mutually convenient time to discuss your queries.
