Gabrielle is an Associate in the Wills and Estates team at Aitken Partners.
Gabrielle was admitted to practice in 2020 and has worked primarily in wills, estates and trusts disputes, and estate and succession planning.
She takes a pragmatic and holistic approach to her practice and appreciates that the area of wills and estates is one which often involves the consideration of family relationships, personal circumstances, and the legacy of a deceased person. Gabrielle approaches her work in this area with measured firmness and with sensitivity to the fact that wills and estates disputes often occur during the grieving period for relatives and friends involved.
Gabrielle has experience in assisting clients in a range of disputes, including:
- Claims for further provision from deceased estates;
- Contested probate matters;
- Administration disputes, including applications to remove executors and trustees; and
- Guardianship matters.
She is also experienced at preparing Estate Planning documentation and applications for Probate and Letters of Administration.
Gabrielle completed a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and a Bachelor of Arts at Monash University and a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice at Leo Cussen Centre for Law.
Gabrielle's previous experience includes working at the Supreme Court of Victoria as a lawyer in the Common Law Division and as an Associate to an Associate Justice. Prior to that Gabrielle worked in private practice in a specialised wills and estates team.
Gabrielle is a member of the Law Institute of Victoria and is an appointed Committee member of the LIV Young Lawyers Community Issues Committee.
