Rod is a general commercial solicitor in both commercial and litigation teams. In addition, Rod is involved in Business Development activities for the firm. Plus, Rod is also actively engaged in mentoring less experienced Solicitors in the arts of being a well-grounded Legal Practitioner.
Over four decades, Rod has conducted complex litigation on behalf of Plaintiffs and Defendants in Superior Courts at first instant and appellate levels. Alongside, Rod has provided commercial advice to Financial Institutions, Developers, Project Managers and a broad range of SME’s, including, Due Diligence, Preparation of Contracts and negotiating Shareholder and Sale and Purchase Agreements.
Rod also has extensive board experience. He has served as Chairman, Sailing Ship Trust of South Australia Inc. and as a member of the Legal Practitioners Conduct Board, Faculty of Law Board, University of Adelaide, Legal Practice Board of Management, University of South Australia and Supreme Court Board of Examiners.
Rod is a former President of the Law Society of South Australia and Delegate to the Law Council of Australia.
